Paper Presentation- A Paper Heaven

Earlier this week, you may have heard me raving about this paper store that I went to twice this week!  In fact, I love it so much, I decided to dedicated a whole post to it. =)  Ladies and Gentlemen, if you are a lover of all things paper and you live in or near New York, you must visit Paper Presentation.

This store has row, upon row, upon row of beautiful paper goods!  From this post, you guys already know what a huge stationary fan I am.  Well earlier this week, I wanted to pick up some supplies for my shop and I decided to stop by this store.  Lucky for me, I work right across the street from it, so I just popped over during my lunch break.  I have no idea why I waited so long to go inside because it is absolute heaven in there! :D  Seriously, anything paper-related that you need I’m sure you could find there.  They have a fantastic selection for a variety of paper goods, including but not limited to envelopes, notecards, notebooks, plain paper, wrapping paper, tags, and on, and on!  In addition to paper supplies, they have creative little gifts and cute office supplies.  If I didn’t have to go back to work after my lunch break, I could have wandered around the store for hours.  In fact, I was there for nearly an hour and I still didn’t have enough time to explore the entire store.

Another reason why I love this store is that it’s where I finally found an item that I had been trying to track down for a while: these dainty numerology trinket boxes.

I’ve been coveting these little pretties since I saw them online a while ago.  However, they were sold out online and I couldn’t find any store that carried the complete set.  Finally, my good friend texted me that she had spotted them in this very store!  Needless to say, I snatched them up right away! =)  Now I have a place to store all of my little trinkets, including the many colors of studs that I own.

I went back to Paper Presentation yesterday to pick up some birthday gifts for friends and I am so excited to give them their presents!  I know I’ll be going to Paper Presentation all the time now, to stock up on stationary or just browse through all the pretty papers.

Tell me: Who else out there loves paper/stationary like I do? :)

My Personal Challenge- Accessorize!

DSC_0065

Some of you may have seen me mention on twitter that I’ve given myself a little challenge this week.  Now I’m here to explain what that’s all about!  I’m probably one of very few people who have this problem, but hear me out!  So I have all of this lovely jewelry, including various earrings, rings, necklaces, bracelets, and so on.  Every day, I put on the two rings that I only take off when I’m sleeping- without the two rings below, my fingers feel naked.

Then I put on a pair of earrings or two, usually studs if I’m headed to work, and that’s it.  And there’s my problem!  I have all of these pretty accessories, but I rarely wear them.  For some reason, after I’ve put on my rings and a pair of earrings, I feel like I’m done accessorizing.  Well this week, I want to challenge myself to put my other accessories to good use.  In addition to my usual jewels, I’m making myself put on at least one more accessory every day.  Here are the results from the first two days:

On Monday, I wore this leaf ring as my extra accessory.  I thought it complemented my shirt nicely, which had a sort of abstract leafy pattern.

Yesterday, I pulled out this black wrap bracelet that I bought from Forever 21 for about $7.  The bracelet looked great with my black patent flats and added a little bit of edge to my outfit.

Tell me: Does anybody else have this problem or am I the only weirdo? ;)

Follow me on Instagram for updates about the challenge and check back here on later in the week to see what other jewelry I wore! :)

One of the reasons I get excited about fall is all the great fall shoes.  I love pulling out my boots again when the weather cools down and pairing them with my favorite dresses and skirts.  This season, I’m going crazy over all the pretty oxford-inspired shoes out there and above are some of my favorite picks.  I’ve already purchased one of the shoes in the collage above- can you guess which one? :)

Tell me: How do you feel about oxford-inspired shoes for fall?

On Nnenna’s Needles #25

DSC_0037

It’s been too long since my last On Nnenna’s Needles post!  With all the craziness of finding an apartment and moving, I wasn’t knitting too much, but I have made some progress on the blanket from this post.  I really love the way that the various shades of blue look together and I can’t wait until this is a full-length blanket!  This project has been put on hold for a while because I’ve been working on the knit tank that Whitney won in my blog birthday giveaway.  I’m hoping to send it to her within the week!

Also, this picture that I added to Pinterest is making me crave my next tattoo!
