Fashion’s Night Out NYC 9.8.11

This past Thursday, I went to my first Fashion’s Night Out!  I felt very lucky that I got to be in NYC where it all started.  There were so many amazing events happening that I felt too overwhelmed to make up a plan of attack, but plan or no plan, I had an absolute blast!

Check us out on the BLACK Comme des Garçons blog here!

What I absolutely loved about my first FNO experience is that the whole night is like one big party!  First, we met up with my friend at the Comme des Garçons store where champagne was served and beautiful clothes were on display.  Then we decided to walk through the Meatpacking District where we stumbled on the BLACK Comme des Garçon store.  We ate some delicious Vietnamese noodles and sandwiches that they were giving out and got our picture taken with an real Polaroid camera!  From there, we walked through Chelsea Market and stopped by Anthropologie for a bit to hear A Fine Frenzy.  While we were on the street, I spotted this awesome FNO automobile!

Then the party really got started!  We heard great music coming out of so many stores and basically wandered around the Meatpacking District for a while, popping in to stores to snag some free drinks and browse their wares.  One of my favorites was Rebecca Taylor, where an amazing band I’d never heard of was playing.  The atmosphere was so great- I felt like I was a at a concert!  Not only that, the clothes were so beautiful- if I could ever afford it, I’d definitely go on a little shopping spree there!

At the Rebecca Taylor store

We ended the night at the Tracy Reese store were people where seriously dancing their butts off and generally having a good time!  My friends and I danced in the windows for a while as people walked by and at the end of the night, Tracy Reese herself arrived at the store! :D

Tell me: How did you spend Fashion’s Night Out? :D

  5. I was also in the Meat Packing District. I spent most of my night at DVF becuase the line took a while to get in. Then I ended my night at the dance party at Tory Burch. Great times, can’t wait until next year.
