On Nnenna’s Needles #25

DSC_0037

It’s been too long since my last On Nnenna’s Needles post!  With all the craziness of finding an apartment and moving, I wasn’t knitting too much, but I have made some progress on the blanket from this post.  I really love the way that the various shades of blue look together and I can’t wait until this is a full-length blanket!  This project has been put on hold for a while because I’ve been working on the knit tank that Whitney won in my blog birthday giveaway.  I’m hoping to send it to her within the week!

Also, this picture that I added to Pinterest is making me crave my next tattoo!

Ice Cream Paint Job

After all the craziness of Fashion Week, it’s been nice to relax in my apartment and work on making it feel like home.  If you follow me on Instagram, you’ll know that the very first thing I did when I moved into my apartment was paint my room.

Before pictures

The day before I moved in, I asked two of my good friends over to my place to help me paint my room a sunny yellow.  Not going to lie, my room is rather small, so I wanted to brighten up the space with a happy color.  I also wanted to paint my bookshelf so that it would blend in with the rest of the white-colored furniture in my room.  With a bottle of wine and good company, the painting job was no hard task at all!

A Night on the Town- Blogger’s Night Out

After the ModSwap, Alex and I needed a teensy break before jumping right over to Blogger’s Night Out, so we stopped at cute little bar to sip a cocktail, grab a snack, and rest our feet.  On our way to the event, we couldn’t resist taking a few pictures of the beautiful city at night.  Alex was also kind enough to snap some outfit pictures for me- thanks girl!

When we got to Blogger’s Night Out, the place was packed- there were bloggers everywhere! :D  We quickly found Laura and Katy and walked around the venue to explore a bit.

Some great sponsors, including Lulu’s, had booths set up where you could win free stuff and we all walked away with some great swag!  I think the organizers of Blogger’s Night Out did a awesome job and I can’t wait to attend the next one! =)
