Wishlist: Jason Wu for Target!

You guys- I am so excited about Jason Wu for Target!  But I’m sure you already knew that from my multiple tweets about it and frantic pinning! :D  I planned to do a different post today, but I’d say this takes precedence- am I right?!

I wanted to share my favorite looks and pieces from the collection.  I don’t think I’ll be able to make it to a Target on the release date (Feb. 5th), but I will certainly be glued to my computer waiting for the pieces to go live online! *Fingers crossed that there isn’t a repeat of the whole Missoni for Target situation!*  I’ve also put myself on a shopping ban until then- gotta set some money aside for these lovely pieces!

This was one of the first looks released from the collection and I immediately fell in love.  One of my fashion resolutions for this year was to invest in more classic pieces that I’ll love forever and forever.  I certainly think this dress fits the bill and at $40 it’s not even too much of an investment!

An absolutely adorable cat print scarf!  I love the classic color combination of red, black and white too.

I want this pleated skirt like WHOA!  Ever since I saw Courtney sporting a similar one on her blog, it’s been on my wishlist and maybe now I can finally check it off!

Now I have a major dilemma- should I get the pleated skirt in black or navy floral (or both, dun dun dun!)?  This might be my favorite look, styling wise.  The different floral patterns on the skirt and top work so well together (in fact, I thought it was one piece at first glance!) and the model just looks so cool.  I read somewhere that Mr. Wu described this collection as downtown chic, a style I would love to achieve!

Be still my beating heart!  This. purse. is. so. lovely.  I think it would add instant chic to any outfit and doesn’t it look so much more expensive than $50?!

I adore this trench coat.  I think the white piping is a really pretty detail and after purchasing my first trench coat last spring, I would say it’s time to add another to the collection!

Tell me: What do you think of the collection?  Which piece or look is your fave?

I’m loving this collection so much more than Missoni. it just seems so much more versatile and that we would all be able to put our own spin on the pieces so as not to look the same. Looking forward to checking them out at Target! – Katy

I hope you’re lucky this time around too! I almost didn’t get anything from the Missoni collection because the website was down and I couldn’t make it to the store, but luckily I had an awesome blogger friend who scored one of the scarves for me :)

I really love the collection – that first dress is a must on my list (or maybe every bloggers list there is?) and the cat print is so cute. I love it on the tote, but the totes seem oddly overpriced in the otherwise reasonable collection.

I am also very excited! That scarf sends shivers up my spine it’s so gorgeous. I think that might be abnormal. No wonder I have a style blog.

So, the release is on a Sunday? That’s kind of different. It’ll be interesting to see how it all pans out. I bet it’ll be more toned down than Missoni, mostly because there is less of a variety of items.

I love the cat print scarf! I really don’t understand why so many people complained about this collection on Target’s Facebook page. The clothes are classic and ladylike with a fun, quirky touch that I really like.
