Cobalt Blue Night

Forever 21* Cardigan, StyleMint* Tee, Thrifted* Skirt, Shabby Apple* Necklace,
Lulu’s* Purse, Enzo Angiolini* Boots (all photos taken by Alex)

I wore this outfit to work a couple of weeks ago, then met up with for dinner later that night with Alex.  I love the color of this pencil skirt that I picked up in a little vintage shop here in the East Village.  For my first time wearing it, I decided to pair it with my first StyleMint purchase, the striped Broadway tee in blue.  And if I wasn’t wearing enough blue already, I had to add this pretty necklace from Shabby Apple that I won in a giveaway on Laura‘s blog.  Blue is my favorite color and I guess I just couldn’t get enough of cobalt blue in this outfit :)  Also, how cool is the detail on the back of Alex’s coat?

Did you guys have a good weekend?  I just spent most of my time relaxing and taking care of a few things around the house.  I also just finished up the Hunger Games trilogy and I cannot wait for the movie to come out!  It’s going to be so entertaining!  Since I don’t have a TV, I didn’t watch the Oscars, but I did follow along with the fug girls as they live-blogged the event- I always find their commentary so funny!

Tell me: Did you watch the Oscars? Who was your best-dressed pick of the night?  Also, what do we think of the mini-layout change I made?

This is such a great outfit! And the detail on the back of the coat is awesome. I feel like we had pretty much the same best dressed picks based on our twitter conversation last night. Jessica Chastain and Gwyneth Paltrow were amazing.

Nnenna, I really love how you styled that cameo necklace! I’m glad you won it! It looks really great in this outfit :) I, too, can’t wait for the Hunger Games movie– but mostly because I heart Jennifer Lawrence!
