Not only does receiving my letter make my day, but reading a sweet post like this one from Ashlie also puts a huge smile on my face :D

Get the Look- Outdoor Movie

One of my summer goals (more to come on that later!) is to take advantage of many of the cool activities that take place in NYC during the summer.  Towards the top of my list is attending one of the outdoor movie screenings in Bryant Park.  I know it’s supposed to be really crowded, but I still think it would be fun to make it out there one Monday!  Who wants to go with me? :)

For an outdoor movie screening, here’s what I would wear and take with me: a pretty floral dress, comfy sandals, and bright polish on my nails (summer staples), a blanket to lay on while watching the movie, and a picnic basket to hold all the yummy movie snacks.  You might be wondering why I included a book on my list of things to take to an outdoor movie, but I figure that you might spend a while waiting for the movie to start so you may as well use that time to catch up on your summer reading!

Tell me: Have you been to an outdoor movie?

Adventures: The High Line & Renegade Craft Fair

Last Thursday I took my sister and my cousins who were visiting from London to The High Line. I  love going there for a leisurely afternoon or evening stroll. Even though it was still fairly hot that day, we had a good time walking along The High Line and taking in the views.  There were also several roving mini-bands playing music, which was kind of fun to watch.  To keep cool, I was happy to be snag a cup of shaved ice from one of my favorites, People’s Pops.

On Sunday, I met up with my friend Babe to check out Renegade Craft Fair in Brooklyn. I love browsing at craft fairs because there’s just so many goodies to see!  Of course, being the stationery addict that I am, I had to stop in nearly every stationery booth, but I only allowed myself to purchase the one set of blank cards above.  I also saw several booths that belonged to members of the Etsy New York team! It was also really hot that day, so we were craving lots of cool beverages and even had to sit down a couple of times to regain our strength.  Luckily, the weather has cooled down a bit here in NYC- in fact, yesterday was gorgeous!

Tell me: Have you had any adventures in your city recently?
