Glasses Gal
No, this is not my twin sister- it’s me with glasses on! Never before seen on the blog- you all now know that I wear glasses! :) When GlassesUSA.com contacted me with the opportunity to review a pair of glasses, I decided to take them up on their offer since the timing was perfect. I’ve been wearing glasses since the 8th grade, which also happens to be the last time I bought a pair a glasses (no seriously, I’ve had the same pair of eyeglasses for the past 8+ years!). I felt that it was high time for an upgrade to a pair of stylish new glasses that I actually like and would want to wear!
Since my prescription was woefully out of date, I took the opportunity while I was home to visit my family eye doctor. Then with fresh new prescription, I went onto the Glasses USA website to buy glasses. I found their website pretty easy to use- there are several different sorting options including the size of the frames, style, and price. Having only bought one pair of glasses in my life, I was at a loss as to what style might suit my face best. Thankfully, Glasses USA has a great feature called the Virtual Mirror.
The Virtual Mirror is good for “trying on” glasses virtually, so you have a better idea of what works for your face! After a bit of deliberation and consultation with my roommate, I chose a pair of prescription glasses that I liked. It’s really easy to enter my prescription, select my lenses and add any extras you want. On top of that, shipping was quite fast- I ordered on a Monday and my glasses came on Friday!
Generally I like my new glasses! When I first tried them on, they felt a bit tight, but that’s probably me adjusting to a new pair of glasses and I know that could easily be fixed by loosening the screws a little. I would like the frames to be a little bigger (I tend to like big frames- like my sunglasses that I wear often in outfit posts). I do like that they’re basic with a little bit of a twist and I definitely think these suit me better than my old glasses! Also, I found the Glasses USA website user-friendly and really like that I was able to virtually try on the glasses before I chose a pair.
I’m so used to wearing contacts now that I don’t know if I would wear my glasses on the regular, but it’s so nice to have the option for days that I don’t want to/can’t wear my contacts. I also tend to wear glasses more on the weekend, so this will probably become my new weekend glasses!
Tell me: What do you think of my new glasses? Do you wear glasses yourself?
Disclaimer: Glasses USA sent these glasses to me for review; however, no other compensation was received and all thoughts and opinions in this post are entirely my own.
