On Nnenna’s Nails #21: Magnetic Pull

Nails Inc. Magnetic Nail Polish- Houses of Parliament

Before applying the magnet

Confession: I’ve had this nail polish for almost a year but this is my first time trying it! It was given to me as a birthday gift by a dear friend and I was so excited to test it out. Then, I misplaced it somewhere in my room (which is not that large, mind you). It finally resurfaced a few months later, but by that time the weather was warmer and I was focused on brighter hues.

Now that I’m starting to look forward to fall, it seemed like the perfect time to finally put this color to use! The second picture shows what the polish looks like before the magnet- a perfectly nice metallic purple. However, after you magnetize the nail polish- bam! Suddenly you’ve got this super cool wave effect all over your nails!  I think it looks awesome and I’d love to try out some of the other colors, like this teal or burgundy.  Another nail polish style that I’m dying to try is the Ciaté Velvet Manicure!

Tell me: What’s one nail polish manicure that you’ve been meaning to try out?

Thank you Nikki! I tested it out on one nail first to see what it looked like. The instructions say you should hold the magnet over your nail for 10-15 seconds, but I decided to hold it for 20-30 seconds and I think it came out pretty well :) I haven’t tried any of the other brands though!

  5. Pretty! I tried the Julep one, but it totally did not work for me at all.

Thank you lady! I had no idea Julep had magnetic polishes too- I must have skipped that box. You and Julep just don’t get along, do you? ;) haha So weird that none of their polishes have worked for you!

i bought sally hansen leopard nail strips 9 months ago. haven’t used them yet, since they were $10 and i don’t want to just “waste” them.
