So I’ve been pretty terrible at not shopping recently. I feel like there have been a lot of really good sales/coupons lately and I couldn’t resist picking up these items. Our current frying pan is in really poor shape and I’ve been eyeing this Greenpan one for weeks. West Elm is having a great 20% off sale on cookware right now, so I took advantage by purchasing a new frying pan and a grill pan, which I feel will really come in handy.

After reading through all of the reviews and asking around, I purchased the booties pictured above from Nordstrom. These are the booties I’ve been searching for my whole life- they’re made of soft supple leather, they’re a comfortable height and they’re extremely versatile. Unfortunately, the first pair I ordered was just a bit too small, but I’ve already put in an exchange for the next half-size up and the new pair is on the way to me!

I’ve been wanting to try the Maybelline Color Whispers for a while now and finally decided to go ahead and purchase two colors since my local drugstore was having a “buy one, get one 50% off” deal and I had some additional coupons on top of that. I haven’t tested them out yet, but rest assured- there will be more to come on that soon.

Tell me: What was your most recent purchase?

Note: I was really sad and upset to hear the news about the explosions in Boston yesterday. My thoughts and prayers go out to all those affected and if you have any links where people can contribute to help the victims, please leave them in the comments below.

So far I do like them- they’re lightweight but they do provide nice color, and they’re moisturizing. I’m hoping to do a full review post soon!

Thank you Christine! They’re definitely more than I usually like to spend but I feel that the style is so classic that it’s a worthy investment. I’m hoping they last a long long time!

  5. The skillet is indeed, a wise purchase. It will be with you, in use, for years to come. I just recently bought a cape/trench by Hatch for the spring (and my bump, which I swear is there!!!)

Try the Red Cross. That way even when the people of Boston don’t need our support any more your donation will go to someone who does.
