Thank goodness the weather is finally starting to warm up, but it doesn’t feel like we’re 100% there yet! These pictures were taken a couple of weeks ago when it was still cool enough to require a winter coat and even now I’m not sure that I can put away my winter coat for good.

I love this polka dot skirt that I picked up on sale from Forever 21 a few months ago. It reminds me of the skirt in the outfit on the left from this post, a look I still want to try to recreate. The sweater I’m wearing used to be really slouchy and just a bit oversized, which I loved, but sadly I washed it and put it in the dryer and it shrunk a lot. Oh well, I’ll just have to figure out new ways to wear it!

Did you guys have a good weekend? Mine was pretty great- on Saturday I went to brunch at Le Paris Bistrot with a group of friends and afterwards we headed to the Met to check out the new Impressionism, Fashion and Modernity exhibit. The exhibit was great- the Impressionist era is one of my favorite periods of art and it was so interesting to see the fashions of that same time period juxtaposed with the paintings. I don’t make it uptown to the Met nearly often enough, but every time I do I remember how much I enjoy going to the museum.

Outfit Details: Coat- H&M (old) // Sweater and Skirt- Forever 21 // Tights- American Eagle // Purse- Ruche //Necklace- Gift // Boots- TJ Maxx via Lydia // Lips- NARS Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Dragon Girl (all photos above taken by Alex– thanks lady!)

So glad things are starting to warm, but there is definitely still a chill in the air to deal with.

Love that polks dot skirt! Gosh I hate it when clothes shrink in the wash – it’s so annoying! Sounds like a lovely weekend. The Impressionists are my favourite as well :)

Thank you Corinne! Yeah, I was pretty annoyed about my sweater too, but it was totally my fault- I forgot to take it out before I put the clothes in the dryer!
