This week it’s pretty much been too hot to function. I was trying not to sweat too much in these pictures because I didn’t want to look like such a mess! On days like this, I try to wear as little clothing as possible, which consists of a top and skirt or a dress when I’m headed to work. After work this day, I headed to my friend’s apartment in Brooklyn for a little impromptu dinner. The houses in the neighborhood where she lives are so cute and have lovely flowers growing out front.

Tell me: What do you wear when you feel like you’re melting whenever you step outside?

Outfit Details: Tee- Joe Fresh // Skirt- Old Navy (via Alex) // Necklace- Forever 21 // Sandals- Madden Girl via DSW (all photos of me taken by my friend Babe- thanks lady!)

  1. It’s definitely been WAY hot down here too, and I tend to just avoid going outside. I love the skirt and top! It’s so pretty and definitely looks like it’s keeping you cool – as much as it can!

PS. also love the braid in your hair!

Thanks so much Victoria! I try to avoid being outside too, but as I don’t have AC in my room, I can’t completely escape the heat at home either!

Cute look – I like the floaty bright pink skirt with the tee. Your hair looks great, too! On really hot days I go for a lightweight cotton dress. :)

Thank you Carrie! Yes, I need to add more lightweight summer dresses to my wardrobe because that’s about all I can stand in this heat!

  5. I love your hot pink skirt! I have a very similar skirt in bright orange and wearing it makes me so happy! Bright, floaty skirts are the best for hot days.
