Every time I wear this dress I feel a little bit like a fifties housewife. I can imagine wearing this under a frilly little apron as I prepare dinner before my family comes home. Something about the collar and the shape feels vintage-inspired, but maybe that’s just me? Of course, if I really were a fifties housewife there’s no way I’d be wearing this with sandals ;)

Last Friday when Babe and I got out of work, we decided to walk over to Madison Square Park since Babe had a coupon for a free shake from Shake Shack. On our way there, we spotted those colorful umbrellas that were put up for some kind of event. Unsurprisingly, the line at Shake Shack was super long and we decided not to wait. Instead we went to Pret a Manger where she grabbed a sandwich and I grabbed an iced coffee. I can’t tell you how delicious that iced coffee tasted on that hot summer afternoon- it’s the little things, right?

Hi Nnenna! I think youd have to button all the way to the top if you go 50s. But nevertheless, it’s a really cute dress! xx

I guess you could be a 50’s housewife, but maybe they were on to something, since I think this dress is just the cutest! Love it with the mint cardi too.

Cute dress! Sometimes waiting in line when it’s hot outside is the most terrible thing! Hope your coupon doesn’t expire too soon :)
