Hair Envy

long bob, mid-length haircut, brunette, wavy hair, harper and harley

Seriously, how do I get my hair to look like this? Ever since I was a little girl, I’ve always wanted long, flowing locks and my hairdos have ranged from medium long to really long. Suddenly, however, I’m seeing versions of the long bob everywhere and for the first time I’m actually tempted by a shorter ‘do. I feel like everyone is chopping their hair these days- bloggers, celebrities, coworkers, friends.

This haircut just looks so breezy and effortless and the lightness would be really nice when the temperatures start to rise. I have a hair appointment tomorrow and it’s long overdue. Despite all this talk, I probably won’t be getting anything out of the norm, but it’s fun to think about it. Hey, who knows? Maybe I will be spontaneous and get it cut!

Tell me: What’s the shortest length your hair has ever been?

Ugh, I always have major hair envy. I accepted a while ago that the texture and thickness level of my hair is not conducive to flowing locks so I wear it short.

  2. That hair is quite perfect and enviable!I love the look of long bobs but somehow they don’t look as right on me as my chin length a-line bob. I’m really tempted to get a pixie again for the summer. Looking forward to seeing what you do with your hair!

  4. Ooh this is beautiful, I know this feeling and I’m kind of jealous. ;) I used to flat iron my hair frequently, so it got worse although I have been using heat protection spray. Since I quit using my flat iron, my hair looks healthy now. My shortest length? – Asymmetric bob like Rihanna used to wear it a few years ago.

I remember how big of a deal it was when Rihanna got that asymmetrical bob- so chic! I think I’m going to wait and maybe and try a shorter length in the summer when it will I’ll be too hot to deal with long hair!

I went a little below shoulder length once, but it was before the day of hair straighteners and I considered it a disaster. I could definitely do it now, but I’m quite fond of my long locks.

Yeah, I didn’t cut it! I’m sticking with long hair for now, but maybe in the summer I’ll be brave enough to try a shorter length.

I don’t know, I’m a much bigger fan of longer hair. I first cut my hair when I was thirteen and it was pretty much right at my shoulders!

That’s how I usually am, but for the first time I’m thinking it may be fun to switch it up! You do have really pretty long hair! :)

  7. The shortest I’ve ever had my hair was a little less than shoulder length. My hair is super curly though, borderline kinky, and it was not cute. At all. Haha. It’s now maybe the middle of my back and I want it to grow grow grow! :)
