It finally happened- I got my very own pair of white jeans! Actually, I picked these up a few weeks ago when I was adding a few spring pieces to my wardrobe, but I wore them for the first time this weekend. I had so many ideas for styling them, but the first look I wanted to try was an all-white one. Well, my sweater is more cream than white, but the general goal was to keep the look very neutral and simple.
Are you tired of seeing my leopard slip-ons yet? As you know, they’ve been my go-to weekend shoe since I bought them. I always like to have some color on my nails and in these pictures I’m wearing the Revlon Parfumerie polish in Apricot Nectar. I was really excited to try these because of the pretty packaging and the fact that they’re scented. It did smell pretty nice and fruity while I was painting my nails, but that faded after a couple of hours. The color wasn’t exactly what I’d hoped for either- it looks more like a pale peach in the bottle, but on my nails it’s much brighter than I thought it would be. In sum, this didn’t quite meet my expectations, but I still think it’s a fun color that I’ll reach for from time to time.
I feel like all I do is talk about the weather, but after a long, long winter, I feel like it’s ok if I gush a bit over spring. I walked around for a while on Saturday and I couldn’t get over how nice it was outside. It felt like it everyone was out with their sunnies and dogs and I saw many people brunching al fresco. I walked around in the East Village for a bit, which is probably my favorite neighborhood in New York.
I stopped by the Muji in Cooper Square, which is so big and spacious. I didn’t really need anything, but of course I picked up a few little bits and bobs anyway. I also went to The Strand (aka paradise) and bought a few books. I was kind of in a spendy mood and had a large stack of books in my hand, but I reminded myself to be practical and narrowed it down three books to take home with me. Finally, I met up with Sarah for a fun little project I’m working on for the blog. I’m trying something new and I’m pretty excited about it. Hopefully it will be up here in the next couple of weeks!
