Day to Night

day to night look, summer day to night look, transition outfit from day to night, cos yellow jacquard dress

I love pieces that are versatile (who doesn’t?!). As I was browsing the web the other day, I spotted this gorgeous yellow jacquard dress from Cos. Cos is a brand I’ve been hearing a lot about lately (they’re a sister company of H&M) and they’ve just recently started shipping to the US. The silhouette of this dress is simple, but the bright color and subtle pattern add some interest.

For a daytime look I’d pair it with a long tassel necklace and strappy metallic sandals. This camel-colored tote would be perfect for running errands and if I were feeling really adventurous, I might top off the look with a straw hat. To transition this to nighttime, you could swap those sandals for a pair of nude heels and leave behind your roomy tote in favor of a small white clutch to carry the essentials. Throw your hair into a bouncy ponytail to better show off your dangly triangle earrings, add a swipe of lipstick, and you’re good to go!

Tell me: Which look is your favorite?

This dress is too perfect. I love loose shift dresses in the summer and the punchy yellow of this one is great.

  12. I actually really like the tassel necklace! I have a weird thing about extra long necklaces and I’m always looking for more of them to add to my heinously large collection of jewelry.
