The Elevated Acre

Thank you guys for all your great feedback on my fall capsule wardrobe post! I was really excited to share it and I’m happy to be taking you along with me while I try out this concept. I have a couple of outfit posts this week that were taken before I kicked off my fall capsule, then starting next week it will be all fall capsule outfits for a while.

On this particular day, I’d taken the day off since my sister was visiting and we’d planned to do a bunch of things. However, it was a gray and blustery day and the activities that we wanted to do were all outdoorsy, so we decided to postpone our plans. Instead we went down to the Financial District to meet my roommate for lunch. There are a bunch of food trucks parked near his work, so we all grabbed some food and ate it in a nice outdoor space called the Elevated Acre.

We also went down to South Street Seaport, which I’d never really been to before. There were a lot of cute shops, including a lovely letterpress stationery store called Bowne & Co Stationers. I love having my sister visiting because I have an excuse to play tourist and see a different side of New York.
