Life Around Here 02.

I did one of these posts at the beginning of March and it was fun to write. Since we’re now a few days into April, I thought it was a good time for a few more little life updates.

FEELING: Like Spring is nearly here. We’ve had some relatively pleasant days recently and I’m crossing my fingers that one day very soon I’ll be able to pack away my tights for good.

THINKING ABOUT: Moving. It’s likely that I’m going to have to move in a few months and I’m trying not to stress about it already.

LISTENING TO: Years & Years. I’d heard one of their songs (“Real”) a while back and I listened to it over and over for a couple months. My roommate sent me another one of their songs last week, which caused me to check out their top songs on Spotify. I’m loving their sound and I was listening to their songs on repeat all weekend.

WATCHING: Outlander has returned and I’m so happy to be back in the Scottish highlands with Claire and Jaime. On top of that, Mad Men is back for the final episodes (I still need to catch up last night’s season premiere) and Game of Thrones returns on Sunday. Hooray for all of the spring premieres!

EATING: I made something similar to this Israeli Couscous dish last week. It’s pretty easy (you basically just toss all of the ingredients together) and it’s a nice change of pace from the heartier stuff that I was cooking in the winter.

READING: I just picked up A Little Life by Hanya Yanagihara. I don’t know too much about it, but I think it’s a family saga and I’ve heard that it’s beautifully written.

THANKFUL FOR: Having the ability to pay off some debts recently. It felt so good to cross those off my list!

LOVING: The New White collection from Nails Inc. All of the colors are so pretty and fresh. I need to get my hands on at least one of these!

Moving always stresses me out the most – I start freaking out like months before it happens and making all these lists, etc that I think are making me more organized but, in reality, are probably just stressing me out more. Good luck (just don’t pull a me!).

Ack, moving is the worst. Normally I will sweep things I don’t want to deal with under the rug, but I’m trying to start preparing myself now. Thanks Courtney!

  3. All good things :) I may have to move this summer so I’m not too happy about it! But it’s always fun to redecorate ;)

Would you be moving somewhere else in DC? Redecorating is definitely the fun part of moving!

Everything is ok- thanks for asking! My roommate is going to school in the fall, which is why I’m almost positive I’ll be moving in the summer.

Those nail polishes are so pretty. I might treat myself to one soon!

The thought of moving in the city would be stressing me out, but whatever ever the circumstances may be, I hope you end up in a place you love.

I don’t want to wear tights any more either. Hoping that after this week I can store them!

Ahh, thanks! (btw, I love saying godspeed too when appropriate- I think it’s such a great word :)

I can’t even touch my tights anymore. I’ve either been wearing pants or going with bare legs and freezing a bit, lol ;)
