lounging around, wish wish wish, reading in bed

// Victoria from Oh So Pretty recently got married and her photos are simply gorgeous. Congratulations to the happy couple!

// I’m one of those people who checks the weather every morning so I can try to dress appropriately and be prepared for precipitation. Well, I don’t know what happened when I was looking up the weather on Tuesday because I did not realize it was supposed to rain. I’m running a little late for work and 30 seconds after I leave my apartment, it starts to drizzle. I figure it’s too late to turn back and a little drizzle never killed anyone, so I press on. Now it’s been about three minutes since I left my apartment and it is pouring. I’m already soaked and if I turn around, I will most certainly be late. So instead, I arrive at work looking like a drowned rat (so much for spending 15 minutes curling my hair!) and make a beeline for the bathroom. After I’ve wrung out my hair and toweled off as much as I could, I head to my desk. Five minutes later, I pass a window and the sun is absolutely shining. What in the what?! Talk about flash storms (I’m still a little bitter, if you can’t tell ;).

// This month, The B Bar is talking about work/life balance and I thought it was really interesting to read about how Victoria manages her time.

// Have you seen the Milly x Kohls collection yet? How fun is this lemons dress?

// Shannon wrote about 10 great quotes from 10 great books and I love the quotes she picked.

// Soooo, Corina posted the most adorable cat wallpaper yesterday [insert heart eyes emoji here].

hahah ohhh no, the rain story! that stuff drives me absolutely crazy. i do that all the time- figure that taking the 10 seconds to go back home is just too much. I always regret it afterwards. There’s nothing like being at work or school and being sopping wet. One time my socks got wet at school and I literally went home. Got on the train and blew off my 7 hour day haha.

Also, just checked out that blogger’s wedding photos and they’re BEAUTIFUL. Her bouquet was unreal.

Haha, I just had to vent somewhere! In hindsight, I probably should have turned around and been about 5 minutes late to work. It would have been better than being damp and uncomfortable for about half the day! Ugh, and wet socks is the worst :/

That is the worst! I hate being rained on. Of course it’s less of an issue since I drive to work (and everywhere) but still, nothing is worse than leaving the house in suede shoes and then finding yourself having to navigate muddy puddles you were not anticipating.

I had not seen Milly X Kohls and I love it! I want some of those florals!

I’ve taken to carrying an umbrella with me pretty much every day since mid-February. We’ve been having some seriously crazy coastal weather this year!

Isn’t Milly x Kohls really cute?! If there’s a chance of precipitation, I’m normally carrying an umbrella, but that day I must have read the weather forecast wrong, or something. Who knows?
