I’ve been having fun playing around with different holiday manicures- busting out my favorite red, gold and glitter polishes.  This time I wanted to switch it up color-wise and try something besides red or gold; enter this bold blue polish from Julep. Then, since it is the holiday season, I had to add a coat of glitter for the sparkle factor. The end result reminds me a little bit of a starry night sky :)

On Nnenna’s Nails #24: Halloween

On Nnenna's Nails #24- Halloween

White- Julep Eileen // Black- Old

I know Halloween was a week ago, but I still wanted to share my second set of Halloween-themed nails. I used a black nail polish with a thin brush to create the lines for the spiderwebs on one hand. Then I used the end of a pen and a bobby pin as dotting tools to make the ghost faces on the other hand. Neither design took a long time and when I was finished I had one spooky set of nails!

Check back tomorrow for a few snaps from my Halloween Housewarming Party!

On Nnenna's Nails #23: Evil Eye

After keeping my nails bare for nearly a week due to the move, I was sick of looking at my polish-free fingers! To make up for keeping them bare for so long, I decided to tackle some Halloween-themed nail art. I loved this design I found on Refinery 29 and decided to give it a try at home. I found it was actually pretty easy to recreate. I don’t have any real dotting tools, so I had to make do with a pen, a bobby pin, and pencil lead for each of the three different sizes. I think my evil eyes came out pretty well and I’m thinking of doing one large eye on each nail for my next manicure!

Can we all collectively say it together? TGIF! After such an action-packed weekend last week, I’m so ready for some rest and relaxation this weekend.
