On Nnenna’s Needles #24

For Whitney

First of all friends, I must apologize for my absence.  As you may have heard if you follow me on twitter, I’ve been hard-core apartment hunting for the past three weeks.  I don’t really want to get into the details, but to say that it has not been easy would be a major understatement.  Anyways, we put in an application for a place today and if all goes well, we should know if we’re approved or not by the end of the week!

Now that I’ve made some headway on that front- I can finally turn my attention back to blogging.  When I haven’t been calling brokers or hitting refresh on craigslist, I have been a bit productive in one area- my knitting!  I want to thank you all again for your feedback on my last On Nnenna’s Needles post.  Seriously, your encouragement means the world to me and you guys make me feel like anything is possible!

The first picture is of the project I’m working on for Whitney, the lucky winner of my one-year birthday giveaway.  I love the color she chose for her tank top!  The second picture is a little sneak peek of something I want to put in the shop.  I’m hoping to launch around mid-September, so stay tuned for more details about that! ;)

Speaking of September, I can’t wait for all the fashion/blogger events!  Who’s coming to NYC?? :D

Phew, I bet flat hunting in NY is tough. Good luck with your application! The knitted bow-tie is really cute – big potential for your shop, methinks.

I love finding other knitters too!! Sadly, they are somewhat hard to come by. But I will definitely be following your blog! I love it!

Can’t wait to see these two things finished :)

I can’t wait to see the finished product.
Apartment hunting in New York is a difficult task. I can officially say I have been there and done that. I’m happy to hear things are working out on the hunt.
And speaking of New York, I officially move to the city in September and think a meet up would be great. I’ll be at the fashion/blogger events too, looking forward to seeing you there!

So cute! I am so impressed by people who can knit or sew – they really just are ahead of the game, fashion-wise. Don’t like what’s out there? Make something new!!

Yes it really is tough finding a place here, so its good to find a good one and stay put. I hope you get the one you applied for. I am starting a new job in Sept so unsure if I’ll make it out to fashion week events..we’ll see.
