NYFW is less than three weeks away! I thought it would be fun to take a look back at some of the Fall 2012 collections that were shown earlier this year- specifically at some of my favorite manicures from the runway!
1. Antonio Berardi– I love this take on the half-moon manicure and think that teal color is really great for fall.
2. Rachel Antonoff– Nail art to match the clothing = amazing. (There’s actually an fantastic blog dedicated to creating nail designs inspired by the runway).
3. The Blonds– These nails make me think of outer space and aliens. I love them!
4. Joy Cioci– Definitely not your basic french manicure (that’s fishnet material on the tips!).
5. Donna Karan– Another twist on the french manicure- nude base with red tips.
6. Catherine Malandrino– This color (oxblood) is going to be so huge this fall. Can’t wait to paint my nails this dark and vampy shade of red!
7. Kate Spade– Polka dots are always good in my book.
8. L.A.M.B.– Half and half makes makes for an interesting manicure.
Tell me: Who’s planning to come to NYC for NYFW events?
I love these nails!
Aren’t they great? I’m excited to see what manicures they come up with this Fashion Week!
Wow, I love the Oxblood colour at the C Malandrino show – just gorgeous!

I think oxblood will be my favorite color this season- now I just have to find the perfect nail polish shade! :)
those red tipped nails are gorgeous!
don’t even say that, i would prefer to think that it is really, really far in the future.
I really like the fish net tips. And I’m all over oxblood throughout the year! Such a flattering colour on everyone.
Ooooh, this makes me almost EXCITED for when my current nail colour starts coming off …
Hehe, yay! After I wrote this I ended up ordering some fall nail polishes for myself :)
Loooved the nails at Antonio Berardi and Catherine Malandrino. Especially since they’re short, because I always have to keep my nails short for the polish to last more than a day. And the fishnet frenchies from Joy Cioci are amazing!
My mom, sister, aunt and I are planning to be in the city for FNO but I’m not staying for NFYW. Someday I will, though! I’d love to see a few shows if I could ever get in. I’d love the opportunity to be a spectator without the stress of covering a show as press. ;)
I’m so excited to hear that you’ll be in the city for FNO! I’m not sure what my plans are yet, but I must carve out time to meet up with you at some point (can’t let you slip by 2 years in a row)! ;)
Ha, definitely! I think our only set plans right now are to hang out at Saks to try to meet Oscar de la Renta (wishful thinking, I know!) and possibly Bergdorf Goodman for the “Scatter My Ashes” book signing (Rachel Zoe is supposed to be there and my aunt ADORES her). We’ll definitely have to meet up in there somewhere!
