On Saturday morning, Kiet and I woke up bright and early and took the train up to Harlem to meet my godsister Sarah. Sarah is the coolest- she’s a producer for a major TV network, she’s filmed her own documentaries, and now she’s starting a new show which she invited us to be a part of. The show is called Sunday Brunch and features a small panel of guests discussing a different topic over brunch each episode.
This is not normally the kind of thing I’d sign up to do- I can be shy sometimes when meeting new groups of people and discussing my thoughts in front of a bunch of strangers sounds intimidating to me. However, Sarah is family and I knew Kiet would also be there, so I decided to just give it a try. I’m not going to lie- brunch food was also a big incentive! The segment is still being edited, but I’ll make sure to share it once it’s ready (providing that I don’t sound like a total idiot).
I like to keep it easy and casual on the weekends, so I went for a simple jeans + tee shirt combo and also slipped on my new oxfords. I’ve worn them twice now and I continue to be very happy with my decision to purchase these. I thought they’d be really stiff at first, but they’re surprisingly comfortable and I like the pizzaz they add to this simple outfit.
Since I knew we’d be on camera from the chest up, I accessorized my outfit with this new statement necklace. I like that the stones are black and that it’s thankfully much lighter than it looks. The spiky studs are a nice touch too- I like the hint of edginess.

Thanks Jenmarie! These are extensions, so last time I had a hair appointment I decided to try a different style. I kinda miss my bangs though, I might go back to them!

That sounds like a lot of fun, and I’m sure you wont regret having done it! The new oxfords are so shiny! Looking forward to future stylings, and also seeing your segment!
