Sometime in the last few years, I became a beauty person. I still don’t wear a ton of makeup, but that doesn’t stop me from watching hours on end of beauty videos. My favorite beauty products are definitely nail polish and lipstick (I’ve come to the conclusion that you can never have too many of either). I keep a list of items I’d like to try at some point and these four picks are at the top of my list.
L’Oreal Infallible Eyeshadow in Amber Rush– Sometimes I just want to go into full-on glitter mode. This color is so sparkly and pretty. I think it would be fun to use it for a holiday party look.
Sephora Collection Cream Lip Stain– I’d heard a few people rave about this lip stain, so a few months ago I went and swatched this in the store. At first, I was not a fan, so I left it behind. I went back to Sephora a few weeks ago and gave it another try and my opinion of it did a complete 180. The problem was that I didn’t let it dry the first time. It starts out rather glossy, but then dries down to a lovely matte red color. Every time I see Lily Pebbles wear it, I’m like “Yep, I need this lip color in my life.” I left it behind again, but that’s only because I splurged on the next item on this list. I plan to get this eventually so I can test it out properly!
NARS Audacious Lipstick– I mentioned in my last beauty post that I picked up this lipstick in the color Charlotte. I’m still in love with it. So in love, in fact, that I want all of the other colors. Ok, maybe not all of them, but a lot of them. At $32 a pop, they’re not exactly cheap, but I wouldn’t be surprised if I picked up at least one more. I’m not sure which color yet though- I guess I’ll have to back to Sephora and swatch them all (it’s a tough job, but someone has to do it – wink wink). If I get my act together, I may pop up a Beauty Fave/review type post on this lipstick.
Urban Decay Naked Palette– I don’t own any of the Naked palettes, even though I know these are holy grail products in the beauty community. One of the first beauty products I ever bought for myself was a Sephora Collection eyeshadow palette. I haven’t used most of the colors in that palette, but I still look at that set with a certain fondness. These days I don’t usually bother with eyeshadow, but the other day I was getting glammed up for my birthday and I did the whole shebang on my eyes- eyeshadow, liner and mascara (I almost went for falsies but I was operating on a time crunch). It was really fun to play with my makeup and now I’d like to upgrade to a palette of pretty eyeshadows in colors I’d actually wear. Now the question is, which Naked Palette? Or should I go for the Lorac Pro Palette, which I’ve also seen people rave about?
Tell me: Have you tried any of these products?
That NARS lipstick is on my wishlist too – I love their lipsticks!

They are a bit pricy, but they’re worth it!
I want the NARS lipstick as well! I’m sure you will love the naked palette, I’m obsessed with it ;)
I’m so tempted by the Naked Palette!
Legit all of those things are either recent purchases(thank you VIB sale!) of mine of on my list. Haven’t used the Naked palette yet, but I love the Lorac Pro. If you like playing with color, the Lorac Pro has some options there, Naked is truly neutrals. :)
I was so envious of everyone’s VIB sale haul (I’m not a VIB yet!) I think I’m more of a neutrals girl, but I’d like to check both palettes out in person and see what I think :)
That Sephora lipstain looks amazing! What a gorgeous red! It will be perfect for the holidays!

Yes, it’s so pretty- I want it!
I have the first NAKED Palette and absolutely love it! It has mostly neutral shades that are great to work with! You can honestly create so many different looks with it. Let me know if you have any questions about it!
I’ve been eyeing it for a while but it seemed like a lot to pay for one item. I’m sorely tempted though and I think I would use it a lot. Thanks, I will definitely let you know if I have any questions! :)
I’m definitely a lip and nail girl as well, my polish addiction may even be getting a bit out of hand!
I have so many polishes and I’m definitely running out of room! I might need to do a clear out of the old, gunky bottles soon.
The Naked Palette is really excellent. All Urban Decay products are very good, as are LORAC. I would prefer Urban Decay eyeshadows to LORAC– my Urban Decay shadows are more highly pigmented.
This is very useful info- thanks! If you have both palettes, I should go over to your place and take a look :)
just got the naked bronzer! still need to try!!!

Nice! I’ll check out your giveaway :)
That NARS lipstick looks fabulous! I have Red Lizzard. Thinking I need the lip pencil. Lip pencils really are a necessity for red lipstick.
Had the Naked palette but wasn’t blown away. Felt it was a little pricey for neutral shades. I gave it away lol I also don’t wear eyeshadow every day. I know plenty of people are OBSESSED with it.
Hope to see a beauty update :)
I was trying to find a good red lip pencil at the drugstore. I recently bought the Rimmel one but I’m still testing it out so I don’t know if I like it yet. I should probably just shell out for a nicer lip pencil from MAC or NARS.
That’s good to know about the Naked palette! I was searching around on Google yesterday to see which of the Naked palettes might suit my skin tone best. I still don’t know- think I’m going to stop by Sephora and see what they think. I’m not thrilled at the price, but I figure if I have only one great eyeshadow palette, then I’m set. I don’t wear eyeshadow a ton either, but I used to more often. I was playing around with it the other day and remembering how much I like it.
Love chatting beauty with you and I’m sure I’ll do another beauty post when I have an update :)
