I don’t know why, but I feel like I look a bit like a French school girl in this outfit. This is probably nothing like what French school girls actually wear, but in my head, this is how one might dress. Can anyone confirm or deny?
Today is my last day in California and tonight I’ll be buckled up on a plane for a red-eye flight back home. It’s been really, really great to spend time with my family this past week and a half, but I’m also looking forward to getting back to my cozy little bedroom in NYC. It’s always nice to have some down time in the city. I don’t go back to work until the 5th, so I get to enjoy being on vacation for one more glorious week.
Do you have any fun NYE plans? I think I’m going to do dinner with some friends, then head over to another friend’s apartment for a party. While I was in California, I picked up a sparkly top to wear on Wednesday and I’m still deciding what I want to do with my makeup. I’m trying to get back to the regular schedule this week, so check back soon for some reflections on 2014 and resolutions for 2015!

Bonjour! ;) Thank you Jessica!
I don’t really know what they wear either, but I think you look great! I also can’t wait to see that sparkly top you picked up ;)
Thanks Jenmarie! I don’t know if I snapped a good picture of it on my phone, but it was this top: http://www.forever21.com/Product/Product.aspx?br=LOVE21&category=Love21_Tops&productid=2000056916
Sorry for replying so late! The top is so pretty and feminine! Love it!
This definitely feels very French to me! And I hope you have a great NYE and enjoy your last week of vacation.

Thank you Courtney! It’s hard to believe that this vacation is pretty much over. I hope your 2015 is off to a good start!
It’s always a good idea of plan a vacation after your vacation – we always need some down time after traveling before we can really get back to work.
I think I get the french school girl feeling – I have no idea what they really wear, but they are probably quite chic, as are you.

I’m so glad I had that extra bit of down time. It’s given me a little time to come to terms with the fact that tomorrow it’s back to the grind! Thanks Lydia :)
This whole outfit is adorable! Perfectly French! Sometimes when I wear blazers I feel like a British school girl! :)

Thank you! It’s funny- I had to wear a uniform during elementary school and I didn’t like it, but now I like the look :)
I am definitely loving that skirt. Very nice post. Happy New Year!
Thank you! Happy New Year to you too!
This is so cute.
