Multnomah Falls

I am back from my whirlwind, two-week vacation on the West Coast and it was absolutely wonderful. I’ve caught a bad case of the post-vacation blues, but I’m slowly working on easing back into my routine here in the city.

Of course, I’m so so behind on my posts, that I’m still recapping the vacation that we took last year! I’m going to try and wrap up our Oregon trip in the next week or so so that I can get to this year’s vacation pictures.

Let’s rewind back to last year… Since we planned to drive inland one day to visit Portland, we thought it’d be a good idea to also visit Multnomah Falls, which is less than an hour outside of Portland.

When we got there, we had a small snafu- we ended up parking in a spot that was a lot further away than we’d realized, and had to hike through the woods to get to the falls. Let’s just say that I was not prepared for a hike and not wearing the proper footwear. Since this was such a last-minute trip, we hadn’t done a ton of research. Later, we noticed that there is a paved parking lot directly in front of the falls that provides direct access to the site. Ah well, you live and you learn, right? Now we know for next time!
