Little White Dress

No, your eyes do not deceive you. This is a new outfit post from yours truly! Since summer is winding down (I think of Labor Day as the unofficial end of summer), I thought I better post this little white dress before the leaves do actually start to change color.

Here’s the story of this dress: A few months ago, I was planning to attend a wedding and had nothing to wear. Of course, since I’m a procrastinator, I waited until the last minute to find something, which meant a lot of frantic shopping the week of the wedding. A few days before I was due to hop on a plane, I popped into TJ Maxx hoping that they would have something that I liked and could wear to the wedding. I did end up finding a dress, but while I was looking for that dress, this one caught my eye. I figured I’d take it into the dressing room and try it on, even though I knew I couldn’t wear it to the wedding. Of course it fit perfectly and I loved it. So I walked away from TJ Maxx with two dresses that day- the dress I wore to the wedding and this one!

These pictures were taken during my family’s trip to Seattle in July. I know Seattle is generally a rainy city, but we had nothing but blue skies while we were there (it only rained for part of one day). The Seattle weather was a real champ during our visit and it made me very happy that I’d packed several summer dresses to wear.

I have so many pictures (and some video footage too) to share from our family vacation, I don’t even know where to start! I’m thinking about dividing it up by day (so a recap of day 1 of our trip, then day 2, etc.), or I could do separate posts for the different spots that we visited (such as Pike Place Market and the Space Needle), or I could do one massive post/guide of sorts for Seattle and another for Vancouver (this option would take me forevah, evah, but maybe it makes the most sense?). Ahh, too many choices! Let me know in the comments below how you guys would prefer it!
