Can someone please tell me how we are already in the last month of 2013? I know everyone says it, but it really is crazy how quickly time goes by. This week was pretty busy for me- I went to a birthday dinner on Monday, saw Catching Fire with a few friends on Wednesday (I thought it was great) and today I’m hosting book club at my place. I also have a few fun activities to look forward to this weekend, including a brunch on Saturday and a tea party with a few blogger friends. Before we head into the weekend, I wanted to share a few links that I loved this week!
– The New York Times released their list of the best books of 2013. Have you read any of these?
– I thought this frosty holiday makeup look from The Beauty Department is really pretty.
– I’m not going to lie, I’m jealous of this apartment in Brooklyn. How can it look so put together after only three months?!
– These modern and simple holiday gift tags that Victoria designed are lovely.
– Nelson Mandela was a great man.
– In case you missed it, Pantone announced that the color of 2014 is ‘Radiant Orchid.’
– Did you seen the painting of Morgan Freeman drawn on an iPad? If I didn’t see this video, I wouldn’t believe it either!
Tell me: What do you have planned this weekend?

I know, I know! I think each year goes by faster than the next. I am not even kidding! Haha! I have heard about the painting of Morgan Freeman but haven’t watched the video. Thanks for the link!

Glad I’m not the only one who feels that way! You’re welcome- hope you enjoy the video! :)
Ack, so many brilliant reading suggestions. I’ve read a few but this list is going to keep me busy for a while – which is perfect as I was fresh out of reading ideas!

This year seriously flew by! That Bklyn apartment is seriously amazing! If I lived there I’d never want to go out haha.

I agree- definitely bookmarking this for inspiration for my own apartment!
Awesome links, Nnenna! I loved catching fire — I thought it was incredible well done and I’m so looking forward to the third movie. Have you read the books too? I was really excited for the new Pantone color too–more than the last year. It’s definitely an elegant color.
Thanks Tana! Yes, I did read the books too and enjoyed them :) The third book was my least favorite of the bunch, but I’m still looking forward to the movie too.
nelson mandela was a great man. have a relaxing weekend~~
Thanks Jane- I hope you had a relaxing weekend as well!
No, I do not know how it got to be december already and I am freaking out. Well, I’m freaking out for other reasons as well… but the fact that the year is coming to an end is not helping!!
Oh man, hope everything is okay with you!
